Tuesday June 1, 2010 CUPE 1975-01 members voted 81% in favour of accepting the tentative agreement that was presented by the Negotiating Committee on June 1, 2010. Tuesday May 18, 2010 Joint Communication University of Regina and CUPE 1975-01 Reach Tentative Agreement The University of Regina and CUPE 1975-01 are pleased to announce that they have reached a tentative three-year collective agreement. This agreement was reached May 17, 2010 after 8 days of bargaining using an interest-based approach. The agreement provides for improvements to salaries and benefits for employees represented by CUPE 1975-01. The details of the tentative agreement will be shared with the respective parties and recommended for ratification by the members and the Board of Governors. Friday April 16, 2010 CUPE 1975-01 and the University of Regina continued negotiations on April 13, 2010. We have been making positive progress. Due to unforeseen changes to schedules on both sides, the remaining tentative bargaining dates in April have had to be rescheduled to May 12th, 17th and 18th. More information will be provided at the conclusion of those dates. Thursday April 1, 2010 As of March 31, 2010, CUPE 1975-01 and the University have had five bargaining sessions, and positive progress has been made. Additional bargaining dates have tentatively been set for April 13th, 20th and 27th. Further updates will be provided as bargaining progresses. Tuesday March 9, 2010 CUPE 1975-01 and the University of Regina met March 9, 2010. Additional bargaining sessions have been set up for March 16th, 23rd and 31st. Further information will be provided at the conclusion of these bargaining dates. Wednesday March 3, 2010 The University of Regina and CUPE 1975-01 met on March 2, 2010 to commence bargaining. The University discussed their broad objectives for this round of bargaining and CUPE 1975-01 provided their proposal. The parties spent some time on housekeeping changes and agreed to some protocol and communication approaches. The next round of bargaining is scheduled for March 9, 2010. Thank you to everyone that was able to attend and ask questions and to those of you that voted. The Negotiating Committee appreciates your time and we will do our best to represent your interests. We will strive to keep the membership up to date as much as possible through out the bargaining process. Thursday January 28, 2010 To the members of CUPE 1975-01: Your Negotiating Committee has had initial meetings with the University of Regina to discuss the plan for Essential Services as per the Government legislation. We will be meeting with the University again on February 11, 2010 to discuss the proposal further. A special meeting for the members to vote on the proposal package will be scheduled shortly as we have set up tentative dates to begin the bargaining process for February 26 and March 2.
